Beating Fraudulent Council Tax Claims
Industry magazine Credit Collections & Risk reports on Data Discoveries' project to help local councils reduce the occurence of Single Person Discount fraud and error. By checking records such as the Electoral Roll, Data Discoveries can verify whether a Single Person Discount claimant is living alone. Results have shown that most people claiming falsely owned up on the first contact.
